America Saves Week

How many of us from time to time have said, "I really should set a goal or make a plan to save money?" Whether it be for retirement, emergencies, a house, a new car, a vacation, or whatever it may be.

Landmark Community Bank is proud to be a part of America Saves Week! America Saves Week is coordinated by AmericaSaves, a national social marketing campaign that seeks to motivate and support low to moderate income households to save, reduce debt, and build wealth, and the American Savings Education Council, a nonprofit national coalition of public and private sector organizations undertaking initiatives to raise public awareness about what is needed to ensure long-term personal financial independence. America Saves Week started in 2007. The week is an annual opportunity for good saving habits to begin and a chance for individuals to assess their own saving status.

"Saving money in a federally insured bank account is the safest way to build savings for emergencies or future dreams. During America Saves Week, I encourage everyone to develop a plan for their money, have savings goals, and then work with a financial institution to find tools to help achieve the plan." -- FDIC Chairman, Martin J. Gruenberg
